Terms of Service

The terms that govern use of the CircuitMap platform. Last updated 17 July 2026.

1. Agreement

These terms apply to use of the CircuitMap platform and website. By subscribing to or using CircuitMap, your organisation (“the Customer”) agrees to them. Where a signed agreement or order form exists between us, its terms take precedence over these.

2. The service

CircuitMap provides a web platform for mapping and managing electrical infrastructure records inside buildings — including distribution boards, circuits, rooms, assets, maintenance information and documentation. We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care and will not materially degrade the service during a subscription term.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

The Customer is responsible for its users’ accounts, for keeping credentials confidential, and for what its users store in the service. The service must not be used to store unlawful content, to attempt unauthorised access, or to interfere with the operation of the platform. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk, and will tell the Customer promptly when we do.

4. Customer data

Customer content — floor plans, records, documents — belongs to the Customer. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. The Customer can export its data in standard formats at any time, including after termination, during a reasonable retrieval period.

5. Important notice — records, not advice

CircuitMap is a record-keeping and documentation tool. It does not perform electrical design, testing or inspection, and its content reflects what the Customer’s users record in it. The Customer remains responsible for the accuracy of its records, for verification before any physical work (including isolations), and for compliance with applicable laws, standards and duty-holder obligations. CircuitMap is not a substitute for the judgement of competent persons.

6. Fees

Fees are set out in the applicable quotation or order form and are payable in advance. Except where required by law or expressly agreed, fees are non-refundable. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of any price change, effective from the next renewal.

7. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the CircuitMap software and platform. The Customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its internal business purposes during the subscription term.

8. Warranties and liability

Except as expressly stated, the service is provided without other warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees paid for the service in that period.

9. Term and termination

Subscriptions run for the term in the order form and renew unless either party gives notice. Either party may terminate for material breach that is not remedied within 30 days of notice. On termination, the Customer may export its data during a reasonable retrieval period, after which we delete it, subject to backup retention windows and legal requirements.

10. General

Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a signed agreement states otherwise.
